Wash Club
What is the Wash Club?
- It's our unlimited monthly membership. Pay one monthly price and wash your car as often as you want. Bright Spot Carwash is the only car wash in Decorah with an unlimited monthly wash club. Plans start at $25 a month.
How much does the Wash Club cost?
- Silver Club is $25 a month for unlimited Deluxe washes. Gold Club is $29 a month for unlimited Supreme washes. Diamond Club is $33 a month for unlimited Extreme washes. Prices are plus tax.
Is it worth it if I only wash a few times a month?
- Usually, yes. A single Deluxe wash is $10, so three of them cost $30. Silver Club is $25 for the whole month. By the third wash you're ahead, and in salt season it's easy to wash more than that.
How do I sign up?
- Sign up at the kiosk at the wash, or online in the My Wash Membership app. After you sign up, you get a text with a link to the app.
How does the QR code work?
- The My Wash Membership app shows a QR code. Scan it at the kiosk every time you wash and the wash starts. No card, no code to type in.
How often can I wash?
- As often as you like. Every day if you want. In salt season, a wash after every snow is a good habit.
Can I put more than one car on a plan?
- Each plan covers one personal vehicle. You can add more vehicles to any plan, so the second car in the driveway can come too.
Billing and cancelling
Is there a contract? How do I cancel?
- No contract. The Wash Club is month to month and you can cancel anytime. Cancel at least 7 days before your next billing date to avoid that month's charge.
When am I billed?
- Your plan bills automatically each month to the card on file.
Do you give refunds?
- We don't give prorated refunds or refunds for unused months.
What happens if my card declines?
- Your membership is deactivated until the card goes through. Update your card and it can be reactivated.
The wash
What's the difference between touch-free and soft-touch?
- Touch-free cleans with high-pressure water and soap, and nothing but water and soap touches your car. Soft-touch adds soft wash material that gently scrubs off road film that water alone can leave behind. You pick which one at the kiosk, every time.
Which should I pick, touch-free or soft-touch?
- If your car is caked in road film or mud, soft-touch usually gets it cleaner. If you have fresh paint, a wrap, or something bolted on that you'd rather nothing touched, go touch-free.
Why does the car come out cleaner here?
- Better soaps and chemistry, and a dedicated pre-wash arch and post-wash arch. The pre-wash loosens dirt before the main wash. The post-wash finishes the job so the car dries clean, not streaky.
Will my truck fit in the automatic bay?
- Lifted trucks, dually trucks, and roof racks or bike racks have limits in the automatic bay. {{VEHICLE_LIMITS}} If it won't fit, our two drive-through self-serve bays handle bigger vehicles.
Does the wash clean off road salt?
- Every wash, starting with Deluxe, includes an underbody wash. That sprays the salt and slush off the bottom of the car, where it does the most damage over a winter.
Visiting
Are you open in winter?
- Yes. We're open all winter, 24/7. In extreme cold some equipment has to shut down to keep from freezing. {{COLD_WEATHER_DETAILS}}
Can I wash in the middle of the night?
- Yes. We're open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and the bays are lit at night. A 2 a.m. wash is fair game.
What payment do you take?
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Self-serve bays and vacuums take card and tap to pay.
Where are you?
- Bright Spot Carwash is at 1115 Paine St, Decorah, IA 52101, just off Highway 9 in Decorah. We're an easy stop from Calmar, Ossian, Waukon, and Cresco.
Do you have vacuums?
- Yes, two vacuum stations. They take card and tap to pay and are open 24/7 like the rest of the wash.
Fleets and gifts
Do you have fleet or business accounts?
- Yes. Wash Club plans are for personal vehicles, but we set up accounts for local businesses, farms, and fleets. Text 563-419-9444 or email Brightspotwash@gmail.com and we'll get you set up.
Can I give a membership as a gift?
- Yes. You can buy a gift membership through My Wash Membership. It works well for the person who already has everything except a clean car.
